With the new year and changing weather comes a great opportunity to freshen up your style – or try something brand new!
Many of us identify with one of the following styles:
The classic girl favors the LBD (little black dress), cardigans, a quality leather handbag, great denim and ballet flats. If you’re not careful, classic style can sometimes read boring; so make sure you add some modern touches and accessories to your style to keep it current! Pieces to add this season: florals, white wide leg trousers, and accessories in the pinkish-purple “radiant orchid” Pantone color of the year.
Trendy ladies are aware of the color of the year (and seasons!) and reflect all the latest trends in their outfits. It takes time and effort to stay up to date so make sure you read all the fashion magazines and keep up with celebrity style!
Pieces to add this season: crop tops, a leather (or vegan leather) mini skirt, and ear cuffs.
Avant-garde women are not afraid to express their own individuality. They are innovative and often look like they are wearing pieces of art (they are!). To keep your look from looking costume-y, “anchor” wilder pieces with something unexpectedly tame (like a schoolboy jacket) to bring it back down to earth.
Pieces to add this season: a custom garment by a local designer and a Kent Stetson handbag.
Whatever your current look, don’t take it too seriously, and stay open to incorporating other styles into your outfits. Why can’t a classic woman wear an avant-garde piece?
