Amanda Doumato is showing Rhode Islanders how easy it is to give to their community, and look fabulous doing it!
Amanda, the daughter of a local jeweler, opened Flaunt Boutique in March of 2008, next door to her father’s jewelry store. Ephraim Doumato Jewelers was established 32 years ago, and his location in Greenville has been a popular spot for those looking for gifts that sparkle.
In the years since Amanda opened her doors to the public, she has stayed on her mission: “to be unique… the place to go to find the newest or upcoming trends, local designers and one of a kind items.” Flaunt sells accessories from favorites like Vera Bradley and JPK Paris, as well as locals like House of Cach and popular brand, Alex and Ani.
Not only has Doumato given Rhode Islanders the gift of fashion, she also gives to many local causes on a regular basis. Flaunt regularly holds private shopping parties to benefit organizations like Make a Wish, Highlander Charter School, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They also work closely with Providence Animal Rescue League, holding in store events and “Giving Trees”, where shoppers choose items on PARL’s wish list, and when they bring the item to the store, they are given a store credit to be used on future purchases.
Flaunt is also present at PARL’s events like Pet Walk and Barktoberfest, and donates a portion of their sales to the organization. Upcoming events include “The Rescue”, which is Providence Animal Rescue League’s signature fundraiser, held on February 9th at the Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts Museum. The event will include a VIP reception, a culinary competition hosted by WHJY’s Al (from Paul and Al), and Michaela Johnson from The Rhode Show, and live and silent auctions. For tickets and information, visit PARL.
Amanda says this of her commitment to giving: “Personally, I am so blessed and thankful to have a successful business, I feel compelled to give back and support my community. I feel it is my obligation to help others in need however I can, both personally and through the business.”
Future goals for Flaunt Boutique include expansion to a larger store and possibly additional locations. Their new website will be up and running soon, and will feature online shopping to include products by local favorite, Alex and Ani.
