Unless you are living in a sunny climate, you are probably suffering from a big case of the winter blahs right about now. Pasty and dehydrated skin and dark circles under the eyes don't do much to lift our spirits. However, it is almost Spring and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, my friends. Here is how to get your skin ready for Spring and put a pep back in your step:
I love all of these products, because they revive my skin at night and help me look healthy and happy during the day. While we sleep, our skin goes to work and regenerates itself, so that is a perfect time to add an extra treatment step to reveal newer and fresher skin underneath. I love using my Clarisonic at night with my favorite cleanser, because it not only exfoliates your skin, but makes everything else you apply afterwards penetrate deeper and work better. Dark circles are emphasized when we are pale, but are also exascerbated by dehydration, so make sure you drink plenty of water. I like to add fresh fruit and some mint to mine to make it a little less boring! I also take a vitamin D supplement every day to make up for the lack of sun.
During the day, I love using the Jergen's moisturizer, because it will add some color gradually to your face and give you a nice glow, without looking orange or streaky. BB creams are great to blur any imperfections you may have and add some healthy radiance to your skin. The new concealer from Benefit called Fakeup, hydrates and conceals all in one easy step - Magic! Cream blushes are my favorite during the Spring and Summer months, because they blend in with your skin, instead of laying on top, like a powder, and just make you look happy and healthy. The Color Whisper lip balms from Maybelline are a new favorite find of mine. They impart a nice pretty color without feeling or looking waxy! Finally, when this dreary, cold weather just gets to be too much, I apply a little Spring Fever by Origins. It smells amazing and makes me look forward to brighter days to come! Happy Spring, everyone!
