How To Go To Bed WITH Your Make Up On.....

We have all been there, it is late at night and all we want to do is fall into bed.  Even though it only takes a few minutes, the thought of  standing in front of the sink and washing our face just seems to much to bear.  I have always said to never go to bed without washing your face.  As a matter of fact, not washing your face and removing your makeup leads to enlarged pores, breakouts, and premature aging , as the Skin care Guru Dr. Dennis Gross, recently tweeted. Well, I am now giving you permission to fall into bed and not wash your face.  Whaaaaaatttt!!!!!!! The outrage!!!

Why?- You ask.  She must have lost her marbles.  The answer is – because you will do it in bed!  Sometimes, habits are hard to break.  Maybe the answer lies in changing something in our environment instead of our habits.  So, if you can’t go to the sink to wash your face, bring the sink to you.  I have created a nice little skin care station next to my comfy, cozy bed and take full advantage of it most nights. Ideally, you should still wash your face, but this is better than not washing your face at all!  Even if I do wash my face and exfoliate with actual water, cleanser, and my Clarisonic, the rest of my anti-aging regimen is completed under the covers.

I am a total product junkie, so it is constantly changing , but this is my current skin care station:

I have always been a fan of wipes.  However, I never thought there was much of a difference and always bought the generic ones.  A wipe is a wipe is a wipe.  Boy, was I wrong!  I discovered these puppies over the summer and I will never go back.  They literally take of every single stitch of makeup and leave my face feeling fresh and clean.  I am currently trying out this Soothe line by Rodan and Fields and  have to say, I LOVE it!  It has really made a difference in my skin.I am also currently using a brightening serum by Vbeaute to battle some dark spots on my face and I never, ever forget to apply my eye cream. ( I am almost 40 and no wrinkles yet – so it must be working!)  I really love Tata Harper and her Restorative Eye Cream.  It is 100% natural and non-toxic, smells like heaven and has made a huge difference in my eye area.  I even put some on the hubby every night and he likes it, too :-)  Lastly, where would I be without my trusted lip balm.  Because my lips are currently extremely dry,  due to an Accutane regimen, I need lip balm constantly and this  Nuxe one is the only one that actually lasts for a few hours during the day and all night.  It is one of the best I have ever used an one jar really goes a long way.  That is it.  The entire process takes about five minutes or less and I am off to La La land.
